The Florida Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has teamed up with the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry to offer our members online Continuing Education Lectures!

CSPD proudly presents a series of web-based Pediatric Dental Continuing Education Lectures featuring streaming audio and video. These presentations are designed to educate dental professionals on a wide range of subjects essential to pediatric dentistry. Online continuing education offered by the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry is provided under the Registered Continuing Education Provider Permits of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. CSPD is a recognized state component of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Glass Ionomer to Resin Composite: Restorative Options for Children
Presenter: Joel H. Berg, D.D.S., M.S. - Professor and Chair of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington
Course Description: This program provides a discussion of the latest in "tooth colored" and other restorative options. Adhesive techniques and differences which need to be accounted for when restoring primary teeth versus permanent teeth will also be discussed. This course can help pediatric dentists, general dentists and their staffs understand how different restorative materials can best be used for restorative intervention of dental caries.

The Caries Balance: Management by Risk Assessment

Esthetic Restoration of Primary Anterior Teeth
Presenters: William F. Waggoner, DDS, MS & Ray E. Stewart, DMD, MS - Pediatric Dentists
Course Description: This program includes a discussion by two pediatric dental clinicians about various options available for the restoration of primary incisors. Viewers will learn about diagnostic and treatment techniques specific to the preparation and placement of cosmetic restorations of primary incisors and understand the unique technique and handling characteristics of pre-veneered stainless steel crowns. The viewer should obtain the knowledge base needed to allow them to make an evidence based decision as to which product to select among the many available in the market place.

Behavior Management Group
Presenter: Barbara Sheller, DDS, MSD - Pediatric Dentist, Orthodontist and Educator
Course Description: This series of lectures by Dr. Sheller includes a set of - how to guides that will improve the ability of the practitioner to respond to the poor behavior exhibited by many very young pediatric dental patients in a variety of clinical settings. In addition, the interrelationship of the dentist and the parent will provide the practitioner with new insight into the parent, child, dentist continuum. This series will also benefit office personnel who require an update of their behavior management skills. This group of presentations includes:
